In recent years, climate change has accelerated, with more pronounced impacts. Research indicates that coastal areas are particularly vulnerable due to global warming, with predictions of rising sea levels, increased storm surges and extreme precipitation. It is increasingly important for coastal communities to demonstrate resilience and proactively address the risks associated with climate change.
The projects undertaken by VisionH2O aim to mitigate these effects, notably with the restoration of dunes following storms that hit the coastal zone. The group works with the municipality of Cap-Acadie to raise awareness of climate issues, while helping people find ways to adapt to them.
