Education to Protect Pollinator Populations

Many pollinator species, such as bees and butterflies, are in decline. In our environment, pollinators are very important and create biodiversity. In fact, around 85% of all flowering plants depend on them to produce fruit and seeds. This means that pollinators contribute to the growth of a good variety of our fruits and vegetables. By reducing the area of your lawn and letting native flowers grow in your yard, you're helping to provide a source of pollen and nectar for these beneficial insects.

In collaboration with Vision H2O, the EcoVision strategy has published a web page on pollinators that provides information on how to help them.
